He.. came over after not bein' around for a while an' somewhere 'round the conversation, we lost eachother, so I was on one page an' he was on the other, an' I thought he was asking for the same thing you'd been. So normally.. with anyone else.. they'd've been kicked out on the spot. ..but this.. he's kind've a weird case. [That confused sorrowful look is back, coupled in with shame.]
