You know what's pretty great, Adstriiiiiiiingendum? Revenge! Against asswipes who deserve it! I guess being pulled here screw up people's thinkpans, because cleeeeeeeearly some people from my world have forgotten why you don't mess around with Vriska Serket. Should you kill them, they will only return, and then they will tell everyone that you are a murderer, and the guard will come for you. Better to attack them with the snow. Most of the guard are humans, and to humans, such things are seen as play, even though you throw the snow as if it were stone. If they seek to discredit you through the guard for assailing them with snowballs, they will be laughed at, and that will further your revenge, will it not?

But if I don't kill them or maim them or something, they'll think I'm weak and it'll get around that people can do whatever they want to me without retribution! Even if blood color doesn't matter here so I don't have to worry about how it'd look to let a greenblood like Nepeta to be an asshole to me, that's still a good way to get yourself killed anywhere. People who don't fight back in a big way are easy pickings!

The snowballs will humiliate them - they will make them cold and wet and unhappy. Is not humiliation a proper form of retribution?

How are snowballs cunning?

Because as fellow trolls, they will expect you to retaliate with killing or maiming. When you do not, you will make them uneasy, and make them wonder what you will do next. The unexpected always puts others on their guard.

But they might still get hit by some of those snowballs. Maybe even one or two with rocks in them! But they'd never be able to prove it was me because I'd be hiding on top of a building or something.

Be careful of packing snowballs too tightly. The best kind are the ones which will break into pieces upon impact, and let the snow slide down through all the openings in clothing - collars and sleeves and the like - and make the target uncomfortable.

Does it snow a lot where you come from or something? I'd never seen it before coming here.

Not as often as in the cities closer to the mountains, but often enough that we spent time learning its various uses growing up. One can build walls and houses and such out of it, if there is enough of it. And then one can hide behind them with snowballs, ready to attack. The closer one gets to the Alps, the more snow that falls. And the mountains always have snow at the tops, so I am told.

People seriously live in this stuff? Don't they freeze?

We have fires to keep us warm indoors, and wear warm clothing when we must go outside. But yes, some people do freeze, from what I understand. Those who refuse the help of the Church when it is coldest outside.

If they're stupid enough to live in houses made out of it, it's their fault!

A house of snow? I have not heard of such a thing before. Though sometimes, when I was a child, we would make little houses out of snow and play in them. The male cousins would use them as places to hide their snowballs during snowball fights, and the female cousins would use them as places to hide from the snowballs.

You said before that people built houses and walls out of them, so oooooooobviously I assumed they lived in them! What would be the point otherwise?

One can, but I have never heard of such for living in all the time. For temporary shelter from the wind and cold, yes. It is better to be inside a wall of snow than exposed to the elements.

Perhaps your planets were more like the southern parts of Italy, then. I am told it does not get cold enough to snow south of Rome very often.

Why didn't everyone move there, then?

I am told in the summers, the southern parts of Italy become quite hot, and the air feels heavy and cloying.

Isn't there any place on your planet that's decent to live in?

I find Verona decent most times. It is rare that the weather becomes so extreme as to be uncomfortable. I cannot speak to other places, as I have never been far beyond to another city before.
