That's a great description of him. So true! Man, he's such an asshole.

That is the term he uses when he refers to you and the other trolls. That is part of why I think him rude. To convey such opinions in private is one thing, but to publicly ridicule you all as he does when he wishes to speak with you - unless the word does not carry negative connotation in the language of trolls, he is most inconsiderate.

[shrug!]

Everyone talks like that. He's annoying as fuck, but not because of how he talks.

I see. Such language is common in troll, then? It is not so among humans - at least not if one wishes to be polite. It is yet another difference in our two cultures. I shall attempt to keep it in mind.

Why do you care so much about being polite?

It is something we are taught from an early age, at least in Verona. To be kind and polite. To show respect to one's elders and betters. To be kind to those less fortunate than we are. They are lessons which came naturally to me, and I do not wish to give offense to anyone, if I can help it. I would prefer to be kind and to learn what I can about everything.

Will you get culled if you aren't?

Not culled, no. But Father is not above using a switch or other corporal punishments if we do not live up to his expectations. And should we be truly remiss, we shall have to answer to Friar Laurence or one of the other monks, and declare our sins before God. No one wishes to burn in Hell for failing to be kind to his fellow man.

Is God like your empress?

More important than an empress. He is the creator of all living things. And he has set out laws by which men and women of Christendom must abide. The Church, the friars and priests, guide us in following the words and laws of God.

Wow, I don't know what any of that is!

Not all humans do, either, despite what I have been taught in the Church. God is He who created everything in the entirety of existence. His stories and laws are written down by the hand of man, as told to various men by the Lord Himself, in the Holy Bible. The angels that are here, like Lady Raphael, are chief servants of the Lord God.

We don't have anything like that. But they say when we win this game we're playing at home, we'll create our own universe. So I guess we'll be like your God!

[Her eyes widen at that. For a human to say such a thing is blasphemous. But Vriska is not human, and does not know of such things, she must remember.]

What sort of game is it that you play where such a prize is possible?

Sgrub? How does one play it? Is it a game unique to your people?

I guess so? I don't know anything about other sessions, anyway. It's another thing that's reaaaaaaaally complex and dull to explain, and it doesn't even exist here, so who cares?

It is not a game that could be played here? It is different to cards or dice, then, I take it.

So there's pretty much no point in thinking about it.

I suppose that is true. But is is fascinating to me to learn of other places and cultures.
